Trip to Asia

Mr. Juan Canahuati identifies the need to create Industrial Parks.
1987

ZIP Law

In Honduras, the Industrial Processing Zones Law (ZIP) is established.
1989

Construction of the First Industrial Park

In Honduras, the Industrial Processing Zones Law (ZIP) is established.
1990

Zip Honduras Inauguration

Zip Honduras opens with first customers Best Form, True Form, Spring City, and Hanes Brands Inc.
1992

Buena Vista Zip Construction

Construction begins on Zip Buena Vista in Villanueva, Cortés.
2001

Zip Honduras Expansion

Expansion of ZIP Honduras and opening of three new companies: Choltex, Génesis Apparel, and Modas Hondureñas.
2017

Construction begins on San Juan Innovation Park (SJIP)

It begins with a first phase called SJIP South, which currently includes Parkdale and CASW.

Creation of the social housing project: Villas San Juan

In order to help reduce the demand for social housing, Grupo Elcatex is launching the Villas San Juan project.

Start of housing project: Green Valley

Complementing the social housing projects for the Naco, Cortés area, we created Residencial Green Valley.

SJIP expansion
